The Ford Bronco transmission
A basic principle with transmissions is that the more gears it's built with, the smoother the ride. So it's significant that the Ford Bronco operates with a 10-speed automatic that surpasses the Jeep Wrangler with only an eight-speed automatic. If you compare manual transmissions, the Bronco has seven gears that provide more options while the Jeep Wrangler manual has only six gears. So the Bronco beats its well-known competition with more gears for both the manual and the automatic.
Off-roading capability
The new Ford Bronco has an amazingly strong off-road story to tell. Ford Bronco trim levels are designed with specific skill sets that work for a wide variety of off-roaders. A good example is the Everglades trim that's a good match for wet conditions.
The Ford Bronco Everglades trim gives Great Bend off-roaders as much as 11.7 inches of ground clearance, which is better than the comparable Jeep Wrangler Sahara that has only 10.8 inches of clearance. The Bronco Everglades model gives you 40.8 inches of water fording capability compared with the Jeep Wrangler Sahara that's limited to 30 inches. The Ford Bronco Raptor model comes out ahead of the comparable Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with more water fording capability and more ground clearance.
